Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. BlurPass processes everything on your device using Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks. Your photos never leave your iPhone. We have no servers or cloud storage.
I bought BlurPass Pro but still see ads
Try restarting the app. If ads persist, go to the Info screen (ⓘ button) and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
I got a new device. How do I restore Pro?
Sign in with the same Apple ID on your new device, open BlurPass, go to the Info screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Your Pro status will be restored — no need to pay again.
Faces or text aren't being detected
Detection works best with clear, well-lit photos where faces are visible and not heavily obscured. Very small faces in group photos or heavily stylized text may not be detected. You can always use the manual draw tool to blur any region yourself.
Does BlurPass remove ALL metadata?
Yes. When you export a photo from BlurPass, all EXIF metadata is stripped — including GPS location, camera model, date/time, and software info. The exported photo is a clean copy.
What is BlurPass Pro?
BlurPass Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that permanently removes all advertisements. All features are available for free — Pro simply gives you an ad-free experience.
